Synopsis of this movie

-Dystonia symptomsThings got worse and I had to undergo deep brain stimulation surgery.

Sato, vice president of the NPO Dystonia Friends Association, which is an association for patients with the incurable neurological disease dystonia, is a patient of spastic torticollis, where dystonia symptoms appear in the neck. He had been undergoing treatment for dystonia, including botulinum toxin therapy, for many years, but in the spring of 2012, his dystonia symptoms worsened and he decided to undergo deep brain stimulation as his trunk bent and he was suffering from pain.
Dr. Taira, Department of Neurosurgery, Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital, explains dystonia and deep brain stimulation.

Although I was not feeling well before surgery, I attended the founding general meeting of the Federation of Intractable Diseases, which was attended by bipartisan members of parliament, as a representative of the patient association.Sato. Dr. Horiuchi, chairman of the Dystonia Friends Association and attending neurologist, also visits and talks about dystonia.

-"Why can't I play?" Reward party for those involved in translation and publishing

All translations were done by volunteers. ``Why can't I play?''A memorial service was held for those involved in the translation and publication of ``For New Knowledge'', and left-handed pianist Takeo Chiuchi performed.

- Movie “Dystonia” preview screening

One year and one month after the deep brain stimulation surgery, a preview screening was held at Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital. Sato exchanged words with the film's collaborators and cheerfully talked about his future aspirations, holding a pamphlet on dystonia created by the Dystonia Friends Association.
